Frequently Asked Questions

#1 Why am I vegan?

I am vegan for everything. For the animals, the environment and for my own health. But, mostly for the animals. I am vegan because I don't want to have any part in contributing to the suffering of animals. I want the world to become a happier, healthier, and cruelty free place, and me being vegan is helping us work towards that goal. Everything you do, every choice you make, no matter how small, makes an impact of the lives around you, human or otherwise.

#2 Is it hard being vegan?

Sometimes, yes, it is hard for me being a vegan, but not for the reasons one would think. Eating vegan isn't difficult. Finding food at restaurants, and in the school cafeteria can be, but only because other people make it difficult. Sometimes, being a vegan, people won't listen to you. The may label you as the bad guy, as if we are doing something wrong by showing compassion and helping to save our world. Being vegan isn't difficult when you focus on your values, the bigger picture, and on the victims instead of yourself.

#3 What do I eat?

Basically everything! The only things I don't eat are the following and anything that contains them: Meat, fish, poultry, dairy, eggs, and honey. There are so many amazing and delicious things that I eat! Most of them don't even take that much effort to make!

#4 Do I get enough protein?

Gah! Those darn protein misconceptions! *Waggles finger accusingly* The short answer is: yes! I get enough protein! Because, simply put, the protein that comes from eating animal products and byproducts come from what the animals eat. You guessed it! PLANTS!

#5 Do I miss eating (meat, cheese, eggs etc.)?

Nope. Not at all. Because I know all of the pain and suffering that comes from eating those foods, and I also know that anything you can eat, I can eat vegan.

Just remember, it is never too late to stop eating animals.

Yours,
The Compassionate Dreamer
