Inky the Octopus

Hello, hello to all! Today I am going to be sharing with you all a super awesome animal story about an Octopus named Inky. Inky the Octopus lived in the New Zealand National aquarium. He had been taken to the aquarium in 2014 after he had been caught in a crayfish pot. It was the spring of 2016 he made his great escape from the aquarium! He squeezed his football sized body through a six-inch drain and eventually made it all the way to the ocean. Inky was free!

There are a lot of things that are wrong with aquariums. So many things that people need to realize about them, but I’m not going to go into the right now, although I definitely will at some point in the future.

Reducing how much you eat fish and other marine animals makes a difference in octopuses lives since excessive fishing and marine pollution are their biggest threats. Octopuses mostly eat mollusks, crayfish, and crabs so due of over fishing a lot of octopuses are going hungry.
