When walking into Flying Saucer it feels like you are walking into another world. Space themed and jammed packed with nerd memorabilia, the restaurant is unlike any other! Flying Saucer is not all-vegan or all-vegetarian, but they have separate vegan and vegetarian menus with build-your-own pizza options for both!
The names of the items on the menu are so incredibly creative! With names like Bellsprout, Odinson, Mac to the Future, and the Audrey II, everyone will find something that identifies with their inner geek!
My family ordered the vegan Spaceballs appetizer, which was garlic knots served with rosemary, vegan parmesan and a delicious red dipping sauce! They were such a big hit and we all loved them!
For the pizzas my mom and I ordered the Vegan Poison Ivy (a pizza with a basil-walnut pesto, vegan mozzarella, spinach, broccoli, green bell pepper, and a balsamic fig glaze) and my brother and my dad ordered a Build-Your-Own pizza. On their pizza they put barbecue sauce, vegan mozzarella, vegan breaded chicken, and caramelized onions. Everything we had was super yummy!
If you ever find yourself in Salem, or live near there currently, I highly suggest going to Flying Saucer! You won't regret it!
